Car, tent and picnic. camping is becoming more and more popular among Beijing travelers vacationing in the countryside. Latest data shows that the search volume of the keyword‘camping’on the internet increased 286% in July, compared to last year.
汽车、帐篷、野餐......露营，越来越受在郊区游玩的人们的欢迎。刚刚过去的7月，短视频平台上以“露营”为关键词的搜索量同比去年增长286%。
Mrs. Liu went camping in Miaofengshan forest park in Mentougou district the past two weekends.
刘女士这两个周末都在门头沟的妙峰山森林公园内露营。
I often go camping with friends over the weekend. It’s a nice way for us to escape the concrete jungle and get close to nature. The temperature in the suburbs is lower than the city center in summer.

Currently, there are 21,000 companies in camping related industries in China. 7933 were newly registered ones in 2020, an increase of 331.6% year on year. Lv Ning, deputy director of the travel institute of Beijing International Studies University explains:
目前，国内共有2.1万家露营地相关企业，2020年新注册企业7933家，同比增长331.6%。北京第二外国语大学旅游科学学院副院长吕宁分析说：
Open area is more favored by travelers during the pandemic. Social media has a strong influence on the younger generation. With camping being trendy on the internet, many of them are happy to try something new.
在疫情之下，人们更愿意选择空旷人少的空间。另一方面也跟用户的年轻化有关，当社交媒体平台上开始流行露营潮流的时候，他们非常容易被种草。
Mi Lin, a manager with Xiaohongshu, a lifestyle App explains:

The popularity of camping rose rapidly in the past year. Camping related content increased 271% on Xiaohongshu. Keywords like camping equipment, camping site recommendation are most searched. People in first-tier cities, like Beijing and Shanghai are more interested in camping.
从数据来看，近一年多来露营热度快速上升，2021年小红书露营笔记的发布量同比增长了271%，相关的搜索中露营装备、营地推荐等关键词搜索量最高，北京、上海对露营的关注度最高。
Due to the pandemic, scenic spots in Beijing’s suburbs suffered a drop in visitors. In a bid to boost business, camping is regarded as the new growth channel for some of them. Hu Chunyuan, manager of Shimenshan Park explains:
受疫情影响，京郊不少景区游客量总体下降。为了适应京郊出游市场的新需求，增加景区的二次消费，部分景区已经引入露营项目，响水湖景区经理李鸿飞说：
We have several camping sites in the Park, mountain climbing, fishing, camping are the best ways for families to enjoy their vacation.
园区里有很多可以供露营的场地，登山、露营、垂钓是一家人享受假期的好方式。
Lv Ning, deputy director of the travel institute of Beijing International Studies University, believes that there is a big potential for growth in the camping industry.
在北京第二外国语大学旅游科学学院副院长吕宁看来，露营行业的发展还有较大增长空间。
Self-driving travelers account for 68% of the total in China, close to the level in western countries. The average camping days in the US and Europe is 13 to 14 days, the number in China is just 3 days. There is a big room for the growth in the camping industry in China in the future.
中国现在的自驾出游率已经达到68%，正在逐渐接近欧美水平。美国和欧洲的露营者全年平均露营天数在13-14天，国内的露营者全年露营天数仅为3天，中国未来的露营产业会有一个比较大的增长空间。
